Without a licence
Free for as long as you like
- Unlock any vault with its password and keyfile
- Browse, open and verify files
- View history and earlier versions
- Export single files or whole vaults to plain files
- Works fully offline
With a licence
Subscription for a set number of devices
- Everything without a licence
- Create new vaults
- Add, change, move and delete files
- Mount a vault for writing (Linux and macOS)
- Checked offline; refreshed online at least every 30 days
Never locked out. If a licence ends, is cancelled or can’t be refreshed, the device becomes read-only. Your files stay readable and exportable, forever, with no network.
How licences work
- You buy a licence and receive a licence key. Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, the merchant of record.
- Activate the key once on each device. The device gets a signed lease that it checks offline.
- While your subscription is active, the lease is refreshed online at least every 30 days. If you cancel, writing keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.
- Moving to a new computer: deactivate the old one to free its slot, then activate the new one.
- Your licence key never unlocks a vault and is never needed to read one. It only proves that a device may write.
